our way of thinking

A Simple Discipline for Complex Medicine

New therapies appear faster than clinicians can reasonably evaluate them. What protects both patients and practitioners is not enthusiasm—it is discipline.
Every intervention discussed on this platform is evaluated through a simple but demanding lens:

Diagnosis

What is actually happening in the tissue?

mechanism

Why should this intervention plausibly work?

delivery

How does biology translate into execution?

When these 3 questions stay aligned, innovation becomes responsible.
When they don't, medicine becomes noise.

about
rahul desai, md

Rahul Desai, MD is a physician-trained educator and former interventional radiologist whose work sits at the intersection of imaging, biology, and regenerative medicine.

Through The Regenerative Radiologist, he focuses on helping clinicians think more clearly about emerging therapies—starting with diagnosis, moving through biological mechanism, and ending with thoughtful delivery.

Rather than promoting treatments or chasing trends, his work is centered on a simple idea: innovation in medicine only works when thinking remains disciplined.

This platform exists to explore regenerative and adjunctive therapies with curiosity, restraint, and respect for the complexity of human biology.

Photobiomodulation as a Preconditioning Modality to Enhance Physical Therapy Outcomes in Musculoskeletal Pain

A practice-based clinical evaluation examining photobiomodulation (PBM) as a preconditioning modality before physical therapy sessions. In 25 consecutive MSK patients, a 5-minute multi-wavelength LED PBM protocol produced a 59% mean reduction in pain scores and 88% therapist-observed functional improvement, with no adverse events. These findings support further investigation of pre-session PBM as a rehabilitation adjunct.
